THEORETICAL ARGUMENTATIONS ON THE CAPITALIST STATE: POULANTZAS, MILIBAND and LACLAU

Poulantzas tried to conceptualize a social formation analysis at a certain abstraction level based on relatively autonomous relations that he built between “political,” “ideological” and “economic” levels. Thus, the state was comprehended as a class apparatus that maintains the ‘‘unity’’ and ‘‘coherence’’ of a social formation nestled in a relatively autonomous nature. Although Poulantzas developed the fundamental problematic, which is focused on the capitalist state, in connection with a wide range of different areas of study such as “ruling class,” “state-member elite,” “state apparatus,” “class power,” “state power,” “production mode” and “permanent effective”, the theoretical background of this study was the notion of “relative autonomy” of the state. The fundamental objective of this study is to discuss and assess the capitalist state problematic based on the political polemics that occurred between Poulantzas, Miliband and Laclau

KAPİTALİST DEVLET ÜZERİNE GELİŞTİRİLEN KURAMSAL TARTIŞMALAR: POULANTZAS, MİLİBAND ve LACLAU

Poulantzas, belli bir soyutlama düzeyinden hareketle bir toplumsal oluşumun analizini “siyasal,” “ideolojik” ve “ekonomik” düzeyler arasında kurduğu göreli özerk ilişkiler temelinde kuramsallaştırmaya çalıştı. Böylece devlet, göreli özerk bir niteliğe bürünmüş bir şekilde, bir toplumsal oluşumun “birliğini” ve “tutunumunu” sağlayan bir sınıf aygıtı olarak kavranmış oluyordu. Poulantzas, odak noktasını kapitalist devletin oluşturduğu temel sorunsalı, “yönetici sınıf,” “devlet üyesi seçkinler,” “devlet aygıtları,” “sınıf iktidarı,” “devlet iktidarı,” “üretim tarzı,” “geçerli etki” gibi farklı inceleme alanlarıyla bağlantılı bir şekilde geliştirmiş olsa da, yürütülen bu tartışmaların kuramsal zeminini devletin “göreli özerkliği” düşüncesi oluşturmakta idi. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı kapitalist devlet sorunsalını Poulantzas, Miliband ve Laclau arasında geçen siyasi polemikler üzerinden ele alarak değerlendirmektedir
