Uluslararası İlişkiler Disiplininde Yenilenebilir Enerji Çalışmaları Üzerine Bibliyometrik Bir Analiz

Öz

Bu çalışmada yenilenebilir enerjinin Uluslararası İlişkiler literatüründeki yeri ve bugüne uzanan gelişimi incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplininde “Web of Science” veri tabanında yenilenebilir enerjiye dair “Social Sciences Citation Index” ve “Emerging Sources Citation Index” dizinlerinde yer bulmuş makalelerin evrim eğiliminin bibliyometrik haritasını oluşturmak ve bilgi birikiminin katkısını paylaşmaktır. Bu amaçla 26.11.2023 tarihinde “Web of Science Core Collection” veri tabanında “renewable energy” kavramı Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplinine indirgenerek araştırılmış ve 1981-2023 yılları arasında elde edilen veriler bibliyometrik analiz yazılımı olan VOSviewer haritalama tekniğiyle analiz edilmiştir. Tarama sonucunda 1981-2023 yılları arasında 61 ülkede yer alan 461 üniversitenin 713 yazarı tarafından 72 kaynakta İngilizce olarak yayınlanan toplam 320 makaleye erişilmiştir. 2007 yılına kadar hiçbir çalışma atıf almazken, 2007 itibari ile atıf sayının büyük bir artışa geçtiği görülmektedir. En fazla makalenin ABD merkezli yazarlarca gerçekleştirildiği, en çok makale üreten kurumun ise Avustralya Ulusal Üniversitesi (Australian National University) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. En yaygın kullanılan anahtar kelime “yenilenebilir enerji”dir. En çok atıf alan yazarların Rod M. Fujita ve Robin Pelc, en çok atıf alan makalenin Robin Pelc’in “Renewable Energy from the Ocean” adlı çalışması ve en çok atıf alan kaynağın ise “Marine Policy” olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

A Bibliometric Analysis on Renewable Energy Studies in the Discipline of International Relations

Öz

In this study, the place of renewable energy in the International Relations literature and its development to date are examined. The aim of the study is to create a bibliometric map of the evolution trend of articles on renewable energy in the “Web of Science” database in the discipline of International Relations, in the “Social Sciences Citation Index” and “Emerging Sources Citation Index” indexes, and to share the contribution of knowledge. For this purpose, the concept of “renewable energy” was researched in the “Web of Science Core Collection” database on 26.11.2023 by reducing it to the discipline of International Relations, and the data obtained between 1981- 2023 was analyzed with the bibliometric analysis software VOSviewer mapping technique. As a result of the scanning, a total of 320 articles published in English in 72 sources by 713 authors from 461 universities in 61 countries between 1981 and 2023 were accessed. While no study was cited until 2007, it is seen that the number of citations increased significantly as of 2007. It was determined that the most articles were written by USA-based authors, and the institution that produced the most articles was the Australian National University. The most commonly used keyword is “renewable energy”. It was concluded that the most cited authors were Rod M. Fujita and Robin Pelc, the most cited article was Robin Pelc’s work titled “Renewable Energy from the Ocean” and the most cited source was “Marine Policy”.
