Hava Taşımacılığı Yönetimi Alanında Bir Bibliyometrik Analiz

Öz

Hava taşımacılığı sektörü; ekonomik, çevresel ve sosyal etkileri nedeniyle stratejik öneme sahip bir sektördür. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı; araştırma eğilimlerini, iş birliği ağlarını, tematik yoğunlaşmaları ve bilimsel etki düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla bu alandaki bilimsel yayınların gelişimini bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelemektir. Bu doğrultuda, 2000-2024 yılları arasında yayımlanan toplam 1.207 akademik doküman Web of Science veri tabanından elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada; yazarlar, ülkeler ve kurumlar arasındaki ilişkisel yapıları yorumlamak için VOSviewer yazılımı aracılığıyla görselleştirilen ortak yazarlık (co-authorship), ortak atıf (co-citation), bibliyografik eşleşme (bibliographic coupling) ve anahtar kelime ortak kullanımı (keyword co-occurrence) gibi özelleşmiş bibliyometrik teknikler kullanılmıştır.Bulgular, bilimsel üretimin önemli bir ivme kazandığını ve yıllık yayın sayısının 2000’li yılların başındaki 40-60 bandından, 2016-2019 döneminde yılda 140’ın üzerine çıktığını ortaya koymaktadır. COVID-19 pandemisi 2020 yılında geçici bir düşüşe neden olsa da, akademik üretim 2022 yılından itibaren güçlü bir yeniden canlanma yaşamıştır. Sonuçlar; Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, Birleşik Krallık ve Tayvan’ın en üretken ülkeler olduğunu vurgularken; tematik kümelerin ağırlıklı olarak sürdürülebilirlik, hizmet kalitesi, ağ stratejileri ve kriz yönetimi etrafında yoğunlaştığını göstermektedir. Bu çalışma, bilimsel ilerlemenin sistematik bir haritalandırmasını sunmakta ve havacılık ekosistemindeki gelecekteki araştırma yönlerini belirlemek adına araştırmacılar ile politika yapıcılar için değerli bir referans çerçevesi teşkil etmektedir.

A Bibliometric Analysis in the Field of Air Transport Management

Öz

The air transportation sector is a strategically important sector due to its economic, environmental, and social impacts. The primary aim of this study is to examine the evolution of scientific publications in this field using bibliometric analysis to identify research trends, collaboration networks, thematic concentrations, and levels of scientific impact. To achieve this, a total of 1,207 academic documents published between 2000 and 2024 were retrieved from the Web of Science database. The research employs specialized bibliometric techniques, including co-authorship, co-citation, bibliographic coupling, and keyword co-occurrence, visualized through VOSviewer software to interpret the relational structures among authors, countries, and institutions. The findings reveal that scientific output has gained significant momentum, with annual publications rising from 40-60 in the early 2000s to over 140 per year during the 2016–2019 period. Although the COVID-19 pandemic caused a temporary decline in 2020, academic output experienced a strong resurgence after 2022. Results highlight the United States, the United Kingdom, and Taiwan as the most productive nations, while thematic clusters are predominantly concentrated around sustainability, service quality, network strategies, and crisis management. This study provides a systematic mapping of scientific progress and serves as a valuable reference framework for researchers and policymakers to guide future research directions in the aviation ecosystem.
