With the entrance of the camera in our lives in the modern era, the queries of the reality and the time had been moved to a whole other dimension. These debates spread to the art world and led to an irreversible revolution of the visual angle diversity of the production and its representation. As the problem of whether the simulacra captured by cameras can be count as a document or not still persists, today, people record their personal history with cameras. As for our mind, it completes this task using the eyes. Every image which enters to our perception from outer world transforms into a simulacrum in the human mind. These mental simulacra represent the reality and the time as a format of recollection just like Snapshot photographs do. Moreover, the “time” phenomenon adds a subjective viewpoint and a personal interpretation to the ongoing reality and creates a relation between the actual moment and now, which can only be resolved by the personal history. In this perspective, if we address the issue in an artistic context, the production set out as an object of artistic action can be described as the retransformation of the simulacra separated from ongoing events and reformed with personal meaning (subjective attitude of the artist) into an objective form as a visible reality

Modern çağ ile beraber hayatımıza giren fotoğraf makinesinden sonra gerçeklik ve zaman sorgulamaları başka bir boyuta taşınmıştır. Bu tartışmalar sanat dünyasına da sirayet ederek, yapıtın görüş açısı farklılığı ve onun sunumunda geri dönüşü olmayan bir devrim yaratmıştır. Fotoğrafın kaydettiği imgelerin bir belge niteliği taşıyıp taşımadığı sorunsalı hala sürüp giderken, günümüzde insanlar kişisel tarihlerinin kaydını fotoğraf makinesiyle yapmaktadırlar. Belleğimizse bunu gözler aracılığıyla gerçekleştirir. Dış dünyadan algımıza giren her görüntü insan zihninde bir imgeye dönüşmektedir. Hatırlama biçimi olarak bu zihinsel imgeler tıpkı snapshot fotoğraflar gibi gerçekliğin ve zamanın tekrar sunumunu yapmaktadırlar. Ayrıca “Zaman” fenomeni süre giden gerçekliğe sübjektif bakış açısı, kişisel yorum olarak eklenmekte ve gerçek an ile şu an arasında ancak kişisel tarih ile çözümlenebilir bir ilişki ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu perspektifte, konu sanatsal bağlamda ele alınacak olursa, sanatsal eylemin nesnesi olarak ortaya konulan yapıt, süre giden olgulardan koparılıp alınan imgelerin kişisel anlamla (sanatçının öznel tavrıyla) oluşturulup görünen bir gerçeklik olarak tekrar nesnel bir forma dönüşmesidir denilebilir
