Effect of Humic Acid and Zinc Application on Yield and Some Plant Characteristics of Soybean (Glycine max L.)

Öz

Objective: This research was carried out to determine the effects of different doses of humic acid and zinc applications on yield and some plant characteristics in soybean (Glycine max L. Merril). Materials and Methods: The Arısoy variety, a medium-early variety, was used in the study. Field trials examining humic acid and zinc applications at different doses were conducted in randomized block design with three replications according to the factorial design. Seed was sown manually in four rows in the experimental plots, with 60 cm inter-row and 10 cm inter-row spacing. Humic acid was applied to the soil at doses of 0, 20, 40, and 80 l/ha, and zinc was applied to the soil at doses of 0, 25 and 50 kg/ha before planting. In the study; plant height, first pod height, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, 100-seed weight, seed yield, crude protein content-protein yield and crude oil content-yield were examined. Crude oil and protein analyses were determined using the IC1020 soybean calibration set on a NIRS instrument. Results: The results of the research showed that the effects of humic acid and zinc doses on seed yield, crude protein ratio, crude protein yield, crude oil ratio, and crude oil yield were not independent of each other, and that the interaction effect was statistically significant. The highest seed yield (3767.9 kg/ha) in the study was obtained from the application of humic acid at a dose of 20 l/ha, and correspondingly, the highest crude protein ratio and crude oil yields were also obtained from this dose. The highest crude protein ratio (38.53%) was obtained from the application of zinc alone at a dose of 50 kg/ha, while the highest crude oil ratio (21.36%) was obtained from the application of 50 kg/ha zinc x 80 l/ha humic acid. Conclusion: In this study, which investigated the effects of different doses of humic acid and zinc on some yield components in soybeans, although the highest crude protein and crude oil ratios were obtained from different dose applications, the highest seed, crude protein, and crude oil yields were obtained from the humic acid application at a dose of 20 lt/ha.
