The list of Turkish plants, Bryophytes: additions 2016 – 2017

The increasing research on the Turkish bryophyte flora within the last two years 2016, 2017 generate a great number of additional species for the flora. One genus, Dendrocryphaea, 44 new mosses and four liverworts can be added to the "Türkiye Bitkileri Listesi, Karayosunları", rising the total number of these interesting organisms to 990 species, 2 subspecies and 86 varieties for Turkey. In addition, the genus Platydictya which was removed from the flora due to its representative species were placed under separate genera e.g. Pseudoamblystegium and Serpoleskea are re-entered to the list because of a newly recorded species of the genus. As bryophytes are important initial colonizers and forerunners in vascular plant colonization and succession of various habitats, their knowledge is evident in many respects and deserves further attention

Türkiye bitkileri listesi, Karayosunları: eklentiler 2016 - 2017

Öz

Son iki yılda Türkiye’de biryofit florasına dönük artan araştırma faaliyetleri önemli sayıda taksonun floraya eklenmesine yol açmıştır. 44 yapraklı karayosunu ve 4 ciğerotu taksonuyla beraber flora için yeni bir cins olan Dendrocryphaea’ nın “Türkiye Bitkileri Listesi, Karayosunları” kataloğuna eklenmesiyle bu ilginç organizmaların toplamı 990 tür, 2 alttür ve 86 çeşit’e ulaşmıştır. Ek olarak, daha önce temsilci türleri Pseudoamblystegium ve Serpoleskea gibi cinslere aktarıldığı için floradan çıkarılan Platydictya cinsi bir türünün yeni kaydı ile listeye yeniden girmiştir. Karayosunları damarlı bitkilerin kolonizasyonu ve süksesyonunda ilk öncüllerden olmalarıyla bir çok bakımdan daha ileri ilgiyi hak etmektedirler
