Contributions to the morphological knowledge of Fritillaria gencensis (Liliaceae), new Turkish name and proposal of risk category

Öz

Fritillaria gencensis was identified as a new species from Genç district of Bingöl province in 2019. During the botanical trips made in the Genç district of Bingöl in 2021, specimens of F. gencensis were collected from the type locality and photographed. When these samples were examined, it was determined that there were some morphological differences and deficiencies in the description of F. gencensis given in the original publication. Considering these differences and deficiencies, the description of the species has been re-prepared and presented. A new Turkish name and risk category have been proposed for F. gencensis. In addition, a table of differences between F. genensis and related species is given in this publication.

Fritillaria gencensis (Liliaceae)’in Morfolojik Bilgilerine Katkılar, Yeni Türkçe Bilimsel Ad ve IUCN Kategori Önerisi

Öz

Fritillaria gencensis 2019 yılında Bingöl ili Genç ilçesinden yeni bir tür olarak tanımlanmıştır. 2021 yılında Bingöl’ün Genç ilçesinde yapılan botanik gezileri esnasında F. gencensis’e ait örnekler tip lokalitesinden toplanıp fotoğrafları çekilmiştir. Bu örnekler incelendiğinde F. gencensis’in orijinal yayında verilen betiminde bazı morfolojik farklılıklar ve eksikliklerin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu farklılıklar ve eksiklikler dikkate alınarak türün betimi yeni toplanan örneklerden yararlanılarak yeniden hazırlanarak sunulmuştur. F. gencensis türü için yeni Türkçe bilimsel ad ve IUCN kategorisi önerilmiştir. Ayrıca F. gencensis ile yakın türler arasında farklılık tablosu bu yayında verilmiştir.
