Yerli bir elma çeşidi olan "demir elması"nın Marmara Bölgesi'ndeki yetiştiriciler tarafından elma kara lekesine dayanıklı bir çeşit olarak gözlemlendiği göz önüne alındığında, dayanıklılığı kanıtlanırsa ıslah materyali olarak kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu amaçla bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, "demir elması" çeşidinin Marmara Bölgesi'nde elma kara lekesine dayanıklı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ancak, daha önce yapılan benzer çalışmalara göre, Türkiye'nin Göller Bölgesi'nde kara lekeye duyarlı, Çankırı ilinde ise dirençlidir. Durumu açıklığa kavuşturmak için, yukarıdaki durum, önceki çalışmalarda tanımlandığı şekliyle hastalığın salgın hastalık gereksinimleri dikkate alınarak tartışılmıştır.

Studies on Resistance Problem of Apple Trees to Apple Scab

Öz

Taking into account that "demir elması", a native apple variety, has been observed as a resistant variety to apple scab by the growers in The Marmara Region, it’s considered that it can be a breeding material if its resistance be proved. For the aim above, a survey was performed. At the end of this work, it was concluded that "demir elması" variety was resistant to apple scab in The Marmara Region. However, according to the similar studies done previously, it’s susceptible to scab in the Lake District of Turkey but resistant in Çankırı province. In order to make it clear, the situation above, was discussed taking into account epidemic requirements of the disease, as it’s defined in previous works.
