Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Yağlık biber popülasyonundan, arı bir çeşidin geliştirilmesidir. Örnekler, 1978 yılında popülasyonun yaygın olarak yetiştirildiği Bursa bölgesindeki bitki ve meyvelerden seçilmiştir. Çalışmada teksel seleksiyonda yedek tohum saklama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Seleksiyon boyunca; mor folojik, pomolojik karakterler ve verim gözlenmiştir. 28 no.lu hat en iyi verim ile en üstün morfolojik, pomolojik ve teknolojik özellikler göstermiştir. Yağlık popülasyonundan elde edilen arı çeşit "Yağlık 28" olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Bu çeşidin meyveleri yaklaşık 90 g ağırlığında, et rengi koyu kırmızı, et kalınlığı yaklaşık 4.8 mm’dir. Dekara verimi yaklaşık 4 ton, suda eriyebilir kuru madde %7.4’dür. Yukarıda belirtilen özellikleri ile bu çeşit salçalığa uygun olarak bulunmuştur.

Breeding of "Yağlık" Pepper

Öz

The aim of this study is to develop pure variety from the population of "Yağlık" pepper. Materials were collected from selected plants and fruits which were grown widely in Bursa region in 1978. Preservation of reserve seed in single plant selection was used in this study. Morphological and pomological characteristics and yield were observed during the selection. The number 28 gave highest yield and showed best morphological, pomological and technological characteristics. The pure variety of Yağlık population was named as "Yağlık 28". The size of the fruits is about 90 g and the color of the skin is dark red and the thickness of the flesh is about 4.8 mm. The yield per decare is about 3.9 tons and soluble solids of the fruit is 7.4 percent. In the light of above characteristics, the variety has been to be suitable for paste processing.
