J.H. Hale ve Dixired Şeftali Çeşitlerinde PP-333’ün (Paclobutrazol) Bazı Fizyolojik Etkileri Üzerinde Araştırmalar

Öz

1985 ve 1986 yıllarında Yalova’da yapılan bu çalışmada Dixired ve J.H. Hale şeftali çeşitlerinde paclobutrazolun (PP-333) vejetatif gelişme ve bazı meyve özelliklerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Uygulamalar 750 ve 1000 ppm dozlarında petal yaprakların dökümünden 3 hafta sonra yapılmıştır. Her iki çeşitte de 750 ve 1000 ppm’lik dozlar sürgün boyunun kısalmasına neden olmuştur. Sürgün boyundaki azalma çeşitlere göre doza bağlı olarak %10 ile %25 dolayında olmuştur. Meyve gözü sayısında doza bağlı olarak %24 dolayında artış saptanmıştır. Boğum uzunluğu ise kontrole göre ortalama 0.06-0.16 cm arasında kısalmıştır. Paclobutrazol uygulaması yapılmış meyvelerde kısmi meyve eti sertliği azalması, suda eriyebilir kuru madde artışı saptanmıştır. Bu farklılık, şeftali çeşitlerinde hasat olumunu 5-7 gün erkene alabilecek düzeydedir. Her iki çeşitte de PP-333 uygulamalarında meyve büyüklüğü ve meyve ağırlığında görülen artışlar kümülatif bir verim artışının olduğunu göstermektedir.

Studies on Some Physiological Effects of Paclobutrazol (PP-333) on J.H. Hale and Dixired Peach Cultivars

Abstract

Two years of studies starting in 1985, have been conducted to investigate the effects of paclobutrazol (PP-333) on vegetative growth and fruit quality of Dixired and J.H. Hale peach cvs. grown in Yalova. PP-333 was applied three weeks after petal fall with concentrations of 0.750 and 1000 ppm. The applications resulted in a reduced shoot length of about 10-15 %according to cultivars and doses. Number of flower buds increased about 24%. Slightly decrease in fruit firmness and increase in soluble solids were obtained due to PP-333 applications and also the loss of green colour were observed on treated trees. PP-333 applications hastened the maturity by 5-7 days compared to control. The increased yield of these cvs. appeared to be a composite of increased fruit size and fruit weight at harvest.
