Çay Atıklarının Çilek Yetiştiriciliğinde Kullanımı

Öz

Bu denemede çay atığının çilek yetiştiriciliğinde çiftlik gübresine alternatif organik gübre olarak kullanılması amaçlanmıştır. Çiftlik gübresinin çilek yetiştiriciliğinde kullanılması maliyeti artırmaktadır. Çay ise ülkemizde çok miktarda tüketilmekte ve dolayısıyla her gün çok miktarda çay atığı çöpe atılmaktadır. Bu çalışma 1993-1995 yılları arasında Çukurova Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Bahçe Bitkileri Bölümü Araştırma ve Uygulama Çiftliğinde yapılmıştır. Deneme 216 (Dorit) çilek çeşidine ait frigo fideler ile yaz dikim sistemine göre kurulmuştur. Denemede organik madde olarak değişik oranlarda çay atığı ve kontrol olarak da çiftlik gübresi kullanılmıştır. Her iki deneme yılında da çay atığı çiftlik gübresinden daha yüksek, bitki başına verim, meyve ağırlığı ve SÇKM değerleri vermiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, çay atığının çilek yetiştiriciliğinde çiftlik gübresine alternatif bir organik gübre olarak kullanılabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır.

Using Of Tea Wastes as Alternative Fertilizers to Farm Yard Manure in Strawberry Production

Abstract

The aims of this study are to see whether tea wastes can be used as on alternative fertilizers to farm yard manure because the latter is expensive in strawberry growing. Tea is exhausted very much in Turkey and so a plenty of tea wastes become rubbish in everyday in Turkey. This experiment was carried out in 1993-95 in experimental and implementation areas of Horticultural Department, Agricultural Faculty, Çukurova University. Experiment was carried out in Frigo plant of 216 (Dorit) cv. as summer planting system. In this experiment, both tea wastes (as experimental) and farm yard manure (as control) were used. Experiment was designed as randomized blocks with 3 replicates. In results tea wastes have given higher yield per plant, fruit weight and TSS than farm yard manure in both experimental years. The results of a two year-experiment have suggested that tea wastes can be used as alternative fertilizers to farm yard manure in strawberry growing.
