Volatile Components of Leaves and Flowers of Phlomis leucophracta P. H. Davis & Hub.-Mor. and Phlomis lycia D. Don Grown in Goynuk Province (Antalya)
Öz
The Phlomis genus belonging to the Lamiaceae family, has an
important place among medicinal plants with approximately 100 taxa. It is known
as "Ballık Otu", "Calba", "Çalba" and
"Şalba" with local names in Turkey and it is used as an appetizing,
antiallergic, diuretic, diarrheic, diarrhea, anti-stomatitis, analgesic,
antidiabetic herb tea and tonic. In this study that was conducted in 2016
vegetation period, the volatile components of the leaves and flowers of the
flowering period for Phlomis lycia D. Don and Phlomis leucophracta P. H. Davis &
Hub.-Mor. that were collected from Göynük province of Antalya, were determined
by gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) after solid phase microextraction
(SPME). 50 different volatile components were identified in P. leucophracta. Of them, (E)-2-hexenal
(15.81%), limonene (17.55%) and β-cayophyllene (18.09%) were main components.
In Phlomis lycia, 57 different
volatile components were determined and main components were (E) -2-hexenal
(8.35%), (E)-β-Farnesene (10.05%) and germacrene-D (45.73%).
