ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTION, FOREIGN TRADE AND ECONOMICAL POTENTIAL OF ROUNDWOOD AND NON-WOOD FOREST PRODUCT OF TURKEY AND IN THE WORLD

Abstract

In this study, roundwood and non-wood forest products production and foreign trade of Turkey and World has been investigated between the years of 1990 and 2009. Their economical potential was also pointed out. Besides the revenues from obtained from those products were compared and the importance of NWFP (Non-wood Forest Products) was determined. As a result, Turkey gains important amount revenue from NWFP export however compared with other countries, this amount remains very low and Turkey rather imports roundwood from other countries. Comparing the foreign trade values, revenues from NWFP has been more then roundwood for all years, however import amount of roundwood has been more than NWFP.

TÜRKİYE VE DÜNYA YUVARLAK ODUN VE ODUN DIŞI ORMAN ÜRÜNLERİNİN ÜRETİM, DIŞI TİCARET VE EKONOMİK POTANSİYEL ANALİZİ

Öz

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye ve Dünya yuvarlak odun ve odun dışı orman ürünlerinin 1990-2009 yılları arasındaki üretim ve dış ticareti incelenmiş ve bu ürünlerin ekonomik potansiyeli ortaya konulmuştur. Bununla birlikte söz konusu orman ürünlerinden elde edilen gelirler karşılaştırılarak ODOÜ’nün (Odun Dışı Orman Ürünleri) Türkiye’deki yeri ve önemi vurgulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Türkiye’nin ODOÜ ihracatından önemli gelirler elde ettiği ancak Dünya ülkeleriyle karşılaştırıldığında bu gelirin çok düşük seviyelerde kaldığı, yuvarlak odun dış ticaretinde ise daha çok ithalatçı bir konumda olduğu görülmektedir. ODOÜ ve yuvarlak odun dış ticaret rakamları karşılaştırıldığında ise ODOÜ’den elde edilen gelirin yuvarlak oduna oranla tüm yıllarda daha fazla olduğu, ithalatın ise yuvarlak odunda daha fazla değerle gerçekleştiği görülmüştür.
