Determination and Evaluation of Landscape Potential: Case Study of Ankara-Kalecik District and its Environs, Turkey

Öz

This study has been aimed to produce a data layer in the frame of sustainable concept by using the criteria of life

comfort which can be used as decision–support tool in landscape planning for Ankara Kalecik district and its

environs. For this purpose, a landscape potential determination method based on mathematical evaluation has

been developed and applied to the case area, Ankara-Kalecik district and its environs, in order to determine and

evaluate the features of non-biotic and biotic beings that form the area's landscape by using geographical

information systems.

Ankara-Kalecik İlçesi ve Yakın Çevresi Peyzaj Potansiyelinin Belirlenmesi ve Değerlendirilmesi

Öz

Bu çalışma, sürdürülebilirlik kavramı çerçevesinde, yaşam konforu olarak nitelendirilen kriterler esas alınarak

Ankara-Kalecik İlçesi ve çevresi peyzaj planlama çalışmalarında karar destek aracı olarak kullanılabilecek bir

veri katmanının üretilmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, matematiksel değerlendirme esasına

dayalı bir peyzaj potansiyeli saptama yöntemi kullanılarak Kalecik İlçesi örneğinde yörenin peyzajını oluşturan

abiyotik (cansız) ve biyotik (canlı) varlıklara ilişkin özelliklerin coğrafi bilgi sistemleri aracılığıyla belirlenmesi

ve değerlendirilmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir.
