In a rapidly changing and developing world, technological developments, global problems and social needs push health services to constantly renew and develop. Nurses, who constitute the basic building block of health services, also need to provide appropriate and effective care to the needs of the age. In this respect, the quality and effectiveness of the education that nurses receive is important. The use of game-based education methods in nursing education has attracted attention especially in recent years. Game-based learning, which is one of the pedagogical methods, has an important effect on increasing students' interest in lessons, ensuring the permanence of knowledge and creating motivation. With this review, the positive effects of the methods used within the scope of game-based learning on nursing students were tried to be explained. It is emphasized that game-based learning provides an innovation and permanence in nursing education.
