Rhizopogon roseolus Corda Th.

In this study, the morphological and anatomical features of Rhizopogon roseolus Corda Th. Fr. spores and mycelium were examined. The mushroom samples were collected from Kırıkkale-Turkey and brought to the laboratory. Taken tissue fragments were grown on potato dextrose agar PDA medium by tissue culture method. They were incubated in 25˚C. After 2 days from inoculation mycelium showed mixed growth on the agar medium. Particularly, in the outermost regions of the colony, density increased and pigmentation was observed. It was first observed to develop a slightly yellowish color and then pinkish pigmentation developed at the outermost part of the colony. Colonization occurred in 20 days. The spores and mycelium of R.roseolus were examined by both light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy SEM . The spores of R. roseolus are smooth and have dimensions of .5-4x6.5-7 µm. usually oval shape
