Studies on weeds and their control possibilities of carcel oil plant (<em>Brassica napus</em> L. var <em>oleifera</em> D.C.) fields in Çukurova Region

In 1988, this survey was carried out to determine weed species, density and widespread in carcel oil fields in Adana. At the same time, it was conducted to determine the most effective chemical control against weeds in carcel oil fields in 1989-1990. According to the results of survey; it was determined that the most abundant weeds were found as wild oat (Avena sterilis L.), common fumitory species (Fumaria spp.), shepherd's purse (Capsella bursa pastoris Medic.), annulal yellow sweet clover (Melilotus indica L.), wild clover species (Medicago spp.), vetching species (Lathyrus spp.), mayweed species (Anthemis spp.), corn gromvell (Buglossoides arvensis  (L.) John.); and that the most widespread weeds were found as wild oat, common fumitory species, vetching species, charlock (Sinapis arvensis L.), vetch species (Vicia spp.) corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.), shepherd's neddle (Scandix pecten-veneris L.), rye grass species (Lolium spp.) in Adana. At the chemical control of weeds, trifluralin (96 g/da a.i.), propyzamid (100-125 g/da a.i.) gave effective control against broadleaf weeds; and fluazifop-P-butyl, halloxyfop-ethoxy ester (9.37 g/da a.i.), fenoxoprop-ethyl (18 g-da a.i.), dichlofop- methyl (55 g/da a.i.) gave effective control against grass weeds in carcel oil fields.  There was unimportant phytotoxicity to carcel oil.

Adana'da kanola tarlalarındaki yabancıot türlerini, yoğunluklarını ve yaygınlıklarını belirlemek amacıyla 1988 yılında sürvey çalışmaları, yoğun ve yaygın olduğu belirlenen yabancıotlara çözüm bulmak amacıyla da 1989 ve 1990 yıllarında ilaçlı mücadele çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Sürvey çalışmalarının sonuçlarına göre, yoğunluk bakımından başlıca yabancıot türleri; kısır yabani yulaf (Avena sterilis L.), şahtereler (Fumaria spp.), çoban çantası [Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.) Medik.], taş yoncası (Melilotus indica L.), yabani yoncalar (Medicago spp.), mürdümükler (Lathyrus spp.), tarla papat-yaları (Anthemis spp.), taşkesen otu [Buglossoides arvensis(L.) John.] olup yaygınlık bakımından ise başlıca türler; kısır yabani yulaf, şahtereler, yabani mürdümükler, yabani hardal (Sinapis arvensis L.), yabani fiğler (Vicia spp.), Gelincik (Papaver rhoeas L.), zühre tarağı (Scandix pecten-veneris L.), delice (Lolium temulentum L.)'dir. Yabancıotlarla mücadele denemelerinde ise geniş yapraklı yabancıotlara karşı trifluralin(96 g/da), propyzamide(100-125 g/da) dar yapraklı çimensilere karşı da fluazifop-p-butyl, haloxyfop-ethoxy ethyl ester (9.37 g/da), fenoxaprop ethyl (18 g/da) ve diclofop-methyl (55 g/da) yeterli etki sağlamış, ilaçların hiçbirisi fitotoksisite göstermemiştir.
