Determination of reaction of the Southeastern Anatolia local lentil lines against Crown Rot disease caused by <em>Phoma medicaginis</em> var<em>. pinodella</em>.

This study was carried out in order to determine the reactions of 120 lentil lines against Phoma medicaginis var. pinodella under greenhouse conditions in Diyarbakır in 1997. The soil was sterilized by formaldehyde and inoculated with the fungus. The lentil seeds treated with 1% NaOCl and were sown. When the disease symptoms were noticed sufficiently at the plots, all the plants were pulled up and examined according to 0-5 scale. The disease indices and percentages were determined. All the tested lines were seen to have been infected by the pathogen, and the disease indices of lentil varieties changed between 0.69 and 3.33. The mean disease percentage of the tested lines ranged between 30 and 92.9% at the experimental plots. İZ-138, BM-462, BM-746, BM-456, RR-45, BM-170, İZ-135 lines were found to be the least infected, while RR-4, İZ-137, BM-711, İZ-57, BM-508 were most susceptible.

Bu çalışma, 120 mercimek hattının, Phoma medicaginis var. pinodella fungusuna karşı reaksiyonlarını belirlemek amacıyla 1997 yılında, Diyarbakır'da sera koşullarında yapılmıştır. Toprak formaldehid ile sterilize edildikten sonra hastalık etmeni ile bulaştırılmış ve daha sonra %1'lik NaOCl ile yüzey dezenfeksiyonu yapılan mercimek tohumları ekilmiştir. Deneme parsellerinde, yeterince hastalık görüldükten sonra bitkiler sökülerek, 0-5 ıskalasına göre değerlendirilmiş, hatların hastalık indeksi ve hastalık oranları bulunmuştur. Testlenen 120 mercimek hattının tümü hastalanmış, hatların ortalama hastalık indeksi 0.69 ile 3.33, hastalık oranları ise %30.8 ile %92.9 arasında değişiklik göstermiştir.
