Observation of natural enemies of beet armyworm [Spodoptera exigua (Hübn.) (Lep.:Noctuidae)] which is harmfull in cotton areas of Diyarbakır (Bismil) province.

Abstract

Natural enemies of beet armyworm [Spodoptera exigua (Hübn.)(Lep.: Noctuidae)] were determined in Diyarbakır province in 1993. The population dynamics were also observed during the studies. Geocoris pallidipennis (C.), Nabis pseudoferus Rem., N.rugosus L., Chrysoperla carnea (Steph.), Coccinella septempunctata L. were found as a predatory insects; Temelucha decorata (Grav.) and Barylypa pallida (Grav.) were found as a parasitoids on S.exigua.
