Investigations on the economic threshold of Rose leafroller, <em>Archips rosanus</em> (L.) (Lepidoptera:Tortricidae).

Abstract

Studies were carried out in cherry orchards in İzmir-Kemalpaşa between 1994 - 1997 to determine the economic threshold of Rose leafroller [Archips rosanus L. (Lep.: Tortricidae)]. All egg masses laid at the 1.5 m height from the ground were marked and counted. The numbers of egg masses per tree were taken as characters; the numbers of trees which have the same egg masses numbers were taken as replications. Larval damage rates caused by A.rosanus were counted on cherry flower buds, flowers, leaf bouquets and fruits by checking 100 plant parts  per tree. These counts indicated that the most important damage was on the leaf bouquets of cherry orchards. In addition to these countings; at the end of larval development period, the leaves present at the lower, middle and upper levels of marked trees and the four different sites of each heights were examined. 100 of leaves were chosen randomly and counted from the  point of view of damage rate and shape for a general estimation. As a result of the studies, economic threshold of A.rosanus  was found as 7 egg masses (laid at the 1.5 m height from the ground) per tree and the larval damage as 6%; it was also found that the regression line was as y=2.5+0.66x.

Kiraz ağaçlarında Elma yaprakbükeni <em>Archips rosanus</em> (L.) (Lepidoptera:Tortricidae )'un ekonomik zarar eşiği üzerinde araştırmalar.

Öz

Kiraz ağaçlarında ana zararlı olan Elma yaprakbükeni[Archips rosanus L. (Lep.:Tortricidae)]'nin ekonomik zarar eşiğini saptamak amacıyla 1994-1997 yıllarında İzmir-Kemal-paşa'da değişik sayıda A.rosanus yumurta paketi içeren ağaçların yerden 1.5 m yüksekliğe kadar olan gövde ve dallarına bırakılan tüm yumurta paketleri sayılıp işaretlenmiştir. Ağaç başına yumurta paketi sayıları karakterleri, aynı sayıda yumurta paketine sahip ağaç sayıları ise tekerrürleri oluşturmuştur. İşaretli ağaçlarda 100'er adet göz, çiçek, yaprak buketi ve meyvede larva zarar oranları sayılmıştır. Göz, çiçek ve meyvelerde zararın önemli olmadığı; esas zararın yaprak buketlerinde olduğu saptanmıştır. Larva zararı sona erdikten sonra işaretli ağaçların 4 yönünden tacın alt, orta, üst kısımlarından rasgele seçilen 1-2 dalında toplam 100 yaprakta zarar oranı sayılıp ağaçlarda genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; yumurta paketi sayısı ile yaprak buketi ve yaprakta A.rosanus zarar oranları arasındaki ilişkiler, zarar şekli ile ağaçların gelişme açısından genel değerlendirilmesi dikkate alınarak ekonomik zarar eşiği “7 yumurta paketi/ağaç (yerden 1.5 m yükseklikte), %6 larvalı yaprak buketi zararıâ€?; regresyon hattı “y=2.5+0.66Xâ€? olarak saptanmıştır.
