Determination of pathogens causing damping-off and their pathogenicity in tomato seedbeds in Ankara (Ayaş, Beypazarı and Nallıhan districts) province

Öz

This research was carried out for determination of pathogens causing damping-off and their pathogenicity in tomato seedbeds in Ankara province (Ayaş, Beypazarı and Nallıhan districts) in 2003. Two hundred eleven samples of tomato seedlings, thought to be infected with damping off were collected from 42 seedbeds. Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Alternaria spp. and Aspergillus spp. were isolated from all collected  tomato seddlings. Fusarium spp., Pythium spp., R. solani and Aspergillus spp. were subjected to pre-pathogenicity test and disease severity and effects on emergence were determined in pot experiment. Consequently, the results revealed that Pythium spp., R. solani and Fusarium spp. were important pathogens causing damping-off in tomato seedlings in the region. While Fusarium spp. were found to be the most widespread pathogen, Pythium  spp. were the most virulence pathogen. Meanwhile, although R. solani was not so widespread pathogen, its pathogenicity was found to be high.

Ankara ili Ayaş, Beypazarı ve Nallıhan ilçelerinde domates fideliklerindeki çökerten etmenlerinin tespiti ve patojenisite durumları

Öz

Bu çalışma Ankara ili (Ayaş, Beypazarı ve Nallıhan ilçeleri) domates fideliklerinde çökertene neden olan önemli toprak patojenlerinin tespit edilmesi ve patojenisitelerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla 2003 yılında yürütülmüştür. Bölgedeki 42 adet domates fideliğinden 211 adet hastalıklı fide örneği toplanmıştır. Hastalıklı fidelerden Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia solani, Alternaria ve Aspergillus cinslerine ait funguslar elde edilmiştir. Pythium spp., Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium spp.ve Aspergillus spp. izolatları ile ön patojenisite testleri yürütülmüştür. Bu testler sonucunda etkili bulunan izolatlar ile saksılarda patojenisite testleri yapılmıştır. Bu denemelerde izolatların % çıkış ve % hastalık şiddetleri belirlenmiştir. Pythium spp., R. solani ve Fusarium spp. domateste çökertene sebep olan önemli funguslar olarak tespit edilmiştir. Bölgede en yoğun olarak izole edilen  fungus Fusarium spp., patojenisitesi en yüksek  fungus Pythium spp. olmuştur. R. solani ise çok yoğun olmamasına karşın patojenisitesi yüksek bulunmuştur.
