İnfertilite Tedavisi Gören Kadınların Geleneksel ve Tamamlayıcı Tıp Uygulamalarını Kullanım Durumları ve Fertilite Uyumu ile İlişkisinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Amaç: İnfertilite tedavisi gören kadınların geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp uygulamalarını kullanım durumları ve fertilite uyumu ile ilişkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Eylül 2023-Kasım 2023 tarihleri arasında bir özel hastanenin Üreme Sağlığı ve Tüp Bebek Ünitesi’ne başvuran içleme kriterlerine uyan 167 infertil kadın çalışma kapsamına dahil edilmiştir. Veriler Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu ve Fertilite Uyum Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler bağımsız t-testi, ANOVA test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Spearman korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Çalışmada kadınların %48.5’inin infertilite nedeniyle geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp yöntemlerinden birine başvurduğu ve bu yöntemleri kullananların %69.1’inin destek amaçlı kullandığı belirlenmiştir. Geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp yöntemlerini kullanmayan kadınların yaş, eğitim, eş eğitim durumu ve fertilite uyumları arasında fark gözlemlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Kadınların fertilite uyumları orta seviyedir ve geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp kullanım durumuna göre fertilite uyumları arasında bir fark yoktur. Tedavi başlangıcında kadının fertilite uyum düzeyi değerlendirilmeli, bu düzeyi yükseltmeye yönelik çalışmalar yapılmalıdır.

Examination of the Usage of Traditional and Complementary Medicine Practices of Women Receiving Infertility Treatment and Their Relationship with Fertility Compliance

Öz

Aim: This study aimed to examine the use of traditional and complementary medicine practices by women receiving infertility treatment and their relationship with fertility compliance.
Material and Method: 167 infertile women who met the inclusion criteria and applied to the Reproductive Health and In Vitro Fertilization Unit of a private hospital between September 2023 and November 2023 were included in the study. Parameters were collected using the Introductory Information Form and Fertility Adjustment Scale. The parameters were evaluated by Independent Sample-t test, ANOVA test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test and Spearman correlation analysis.
Results: In the study, it was determined that 48.5% of women resorted to one of the traditional and complementary medicine methods due to infertility and 69.1% of them used these methods for support purposes. Differences were observed in the age, education and spouse educational status, and fertility djustment of women who did not use traditional and complementary medicine methods.
Conclusion: Women's fertility compliance is moderate, and there is no difference between their fertility adjustment according to traditional and complementary medicine use. At the beginning of treatment, the woman's fertility compliance level should be evaluated and should work towards to increase this level.
