SAĞLIK ÇALIŞANLARI ARASINDA SIK GÖRÜLEN GASTROİNTESTİNAL RAHATSIZLIKLAR The Frequent Gastrointestinal Disorders Between Health Workers

ÖZET Amaç: Üçüncü basamak bir hastanede görev yapan sağlık çalışanları arasında, sıkça rastlanan ve günlük yaşamımızı etkileyen irritabl barsak sendromu, fonksiyonel dispepsi ve gastroözefageal reflü hastalığı gibi rahatsızlıkların görülme sıklığını araştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Doktor, hemşire ve diğer sağlık personelini içeren toplam 64 kişiye Roma IV kriterlerine göre hazırlanmış toplam 17 adet sorudan oluşan anket uygulanmış ve veriler toplanmıştır. Bulgular: 64 kişinin 12’sinde (%18,8) IBS, 18 ‘ünde(%28) FD ile uyumlu semptomlar mevcuttu. GÖRH görülme sıklığı %20,3 (13 kişi) idi. Doktorların %15 sında IBS, %30 sında FD, %23 sinde GÖRH vardı. Hemşirelerin ise %25 inde IBS, %30 ında FD, %25’ inde GÖRH vardı. Diğer personelin ise %16 sinde IBS, %22 sinde FD, %11 unda GÖRH olduğu görüldü. Sonuç: Toplumumuzda sık rastlanan ve günlük yaşamı etkileyip iş gücünü azaltabilen bu rahatsızlıkların sağlık çalışanlarında görülme oranı genel toplumdaki ile benzerdir. Anahtar kelimeler: İrritabl barsak sendromu; Fonksiyonel dispepsi; Örtüşme; Sağlık çalışanları ABSTRACT Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the prevalence of disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), functional dyspepsia (FD) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) that affect our daily life, in our health care workers. Materials and Methods: A total of 64 health care workers, including physicians, nurses and other health personnals; a questionnaire consisting of 17 questions prepared according to Rome IV criteria was applied and data were collected. Results: There were IBS in 12 (18.8%) of the 64 health care workers and FD compatible symptoms in 18 (28%). The incidence of GERD was 20.3% (13 people). 15% of the doctors had IBS, 30% had FD, and 23% had GERD. 25% of the nurses had IBS, 30% had FD and 25% had GERD. The other personnel were IBS in 16%, FD in 22% and GERD in 11%. Conclusion: The prevalence of these disorders in health care workers is similar to the general population.
