Production of Sn-Co / CNT Composite Anodes by Pulse Current Method for Lithium Ion Batteries

The graphite is an anode material which is widely used as commercially for li-ion batteries. Because of
having low capacity, graphite led to investigate alternative materials with higher capacity and good cycle stability. As
an alternative to graphite, tin based electrode materials are of interest due to their high capacity values. In this study
Sn-Co/MWCNT composite electrodes were deposited on copper substrates by using pulse current (PC) plating
technique. The effect of peak current density to the battery performance was studied. As a result of studies, the best
result was obtained in the coatings which were prepared at 60 mAcm-2
peak current density.
