In this study, it was aimed to investigate the regulatory role of the locus of control in the effect of burnout of employees in the service branches of municipalities, which are public institutions, on their job performance. Accordingly, the independent variable of the research is "Burnout Level"; the dependent variable of the research is "Job Performance"; the Moderator variable of the research was determined as "Locus of Control". The questionnaire, which is among the data collection tools of quantitative research methods, was used to collect data. The questionnaire form consists of 4 parts. SPSS20 statistical program was used to analyze the data obtained in the study. As a result, it has been determined that personal control situations have a regulatory role in the effect of physical exhaustion levels of municipal employees on job performance. Again, according to models created in the effect of burnout levels of municipal employees on work performance, belief in chance and fatalism has no regulatory effect, unfair world belief has a regulatory effect on the effect of physical exhaustion levels on work performance, and mental exhaustion has an unfair world belief and work performance. It has been determined that unfair world belief does not have a regulatory role.
