In this research, the awareness levels of the students in the fourth grade of primary school towards the problems of their refugee peers were tried to be revealed. The research was conducted within the scope of phenomenological pattern which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study group consists of 50 primary school fourth grade students, 21 females and 29 males, who have refugee peers in their class in four different primary schools, two of them are thought to be high socioeconomic status and two of them are thought to be low socioeconomic status, in the 2018-2019 academic year in the central district of Burdur province. The data were collected in using drawings of students. Content analysis was used for data analysis. As a result of the analysis of the data, a table with themes and codes was created. In addition, two different tables were created according to the gender of the students participating in the research and the socioeconomic level of the schools they study. As a result of the research, it was seen that pictures were drawn mostly about war and migration. Generally, refugees are portrayed as having prosperity in their countries of refuge, as well as adaptation problems. In the paintings of male students, the depiction of war, death and bondage is more, while in the paintings of female students, there are more depictions of refugees living in prosperity in the country of refuge and peace. In the pictures of students studying in high socioeconomic level schools were encountered the problems of freedom, helplessness, fear, bullying, prejudice, health, modernity, backwardness, cleanliness, scum and nutrition and in the pictures of students studying in low socioeconomic level schools were encountered clothing aid, family loss, longing, approval, restraint, punishment and communication problems.
