Safety of Clinical Biochemistry Laboratories Under Pandemic Conditions: Protective Approaches and Standards

Öz

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed significant occupational risks for healthcare professionals, with clinical laboratory personnel being among the most vulnerable groups. Preventive strategies and treatment algorithms issued by health authorities have undergone continuous revisions as new evidence has emerged. The objective of this review is to systematically summarize the recommended safety measures for biochemistry laboratories during the pandemic, as outlined in international and national guidelines, and to provide a comprehensive framework for optimizing laboratory working conditions under pandemic circumstances.

Pandemi Koşullarında Tıbbi Biyokimya Laboratuvarlarının Güvenliği: Koruyucu Yaklaşımlar ve Standartlar

Öz

COVID-19 hastalığı, sağlık çalışanları ve özellikle klinik laboratuvar çalışanları için oldukça riskli ve kaotik bir süreç oluşturdu. Yetkililer tarafından açıklanan önleme tedbirleri ve tedavi algoritmaları her geçen gün değişmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı, rehberler doğrultusunda pandemi sırasında biyokimya laboratuvarında gerçekleştirilmesi gereken önlemleri bütün halinde sıralayarak laboratuvar çalışma koşullarının düzenlenmesine katkı sağlamaktır.
