specimen at Kapuşçabaşı locality. Yukarısazak village has been those that
Helladotherium duvernoyi Gaudry, Protoryx carolinae Major, Tragoportax amalthea
(Roth and Wagner) and Gazella deperdita (Gervais). These paleomammalian species
has dated back as early as Late Miocene (Turolian) and implies presence of
steppes covered by buch during that era.
