The Mediating Role of Organizational Trust in the Effect of Inclusive Leadership on Responsibility Taking Behaviour

Öz

Grounded in social exchange theory, this study examines the mediating role of organizational trust in the relationship between inclusive leadership and responsibility-taking behaviour. Data were obtained from 286 employees working in Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) units within the Turkish aviation sector. The analyses, performed through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), correlation analysis, and structural equation modelling (SEM) using SPSS and Jamovi, revealed that perceptions of inclusive leadership significantly and positively affect both organizational trust and responsibility-taking behaviour. Moreover, organizational trust was identified as a partial mediator in this relationship. The paper concludes by acknowledging its limitations and offering recommendations for future research.
