DIE DISKURSIVE KONSTRUKTION DER IDENTITÄTEN DER ÜBERSETZER: DIE VIELEN FACETTEN EINER BERUFSGRUPPE

Öz

Bu çalışma tarih boyunca belli bir zaman diliminde ve belli bir toplumsal alanda inşa edilen ortak çevirmen kimliklerini incelemektedir. Çalışma, çevirmenlerin mesleki kimliklerinin inşasındaki rolünü sorgulamayı ve bu sayede "değişim öznesi" olarak çevirmenlere ışık tutma amacını gütmektedir. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için Antik Çağ'dan 19. yüzyıla kadar önde gelen çevirmenlerin söylemleri incelenmiştir. Çalışmada kimlikler çoklu, bağlama göre değişen ve (yeniden) inşa edilebilen olgular olarak kabul edilmektedir. Kimlik üzerine söylemlerin çözümlemesi çevirmenlerin tarih boyunca yeni imajlar inşa ettiğini ortaya koymuştur. Kendileri söylemlerinde çevirmeni dil geliştirici, eğitmen ve yazar olarak görünür kılmıştır.
