Verilerin analizinde Bootstrap ve Hayes'in PROCESS Macro Model 4 yaklaşımına dayalı regresyon analizleri kullanılmıştır.

This study aimed to examine the effect of university students’ physical activity levels on their mental toughness and to evaluate the mediating role of subjective vitality in this relationship. A relational screening model, specifically a causal–comparative design, was employed. The sample consisted of 569 undergraduate students (405 females and 164 males) with a mean age of 21.89±2.65 years. Data were collected using the Mental Toughness Scale, Subjective Vitality Scale, and Physical Activity Scale. Bootstrap-based regression analyses and Hayes’ PROCESS Macro Model 4 were used to analyze the data. The findings indicated significant and positive correlations among all variables. Physical activity level had a significant effect on mental toughness. Bootstrap analysis revealed that subjective vitality had a significant mediating role in this relationship. These results demonstrate that physical activity influences mental toughness both directly and indirectly through subjective vitality. The findings highlight the importance of incorporating physical activity–based strategies into mental health–focused intervention programs.
