Besides making sure education and training activities happen in suitable physical spaces, university campuses are flexible areas where all administrative and academic staff, especially students, can enjoy leisure and fulfill their recreational needs. Therefore, various factors need to be taken into account in the planning process of university campuses. It is important that these plans are handled holistically and functionally. In this context, the study aims to identify the dimensions of service quality as perceived by students in university campuses in Türkiye and, accordingly, to develop the ‘Campus Service Quality and Recreation Area Satisfaction Scale (CSQASRS).’ The study determined the variables that constitute campus recreation service quality through a literature review, including campus recreation, sports and recreation scales. In this context, four different dimensions of campus recreation service quality were identified through factor analysis. These factors were named as facility design, program scope, environment and interaction with people. With the measurement tool developed within the scope of the study, researchers and senior management can help to analyze the current situation of universities by examining the campus recreation service quality and thus help to develop, restructure or design campus recreation programs in the university context. These dimensions of the developed measurement tool can be included in periodic measurements of service quality related to campus recreation by university administrators.
