Covid-19 Salgınının Aşçıların Çalışma Hayatına Etkisi: Kars İli Örneği

Öz

Bu çalışmanın evrenini Kars İl Merkezinde bulunan aşçılar oluşturmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmanın temel amacı Covid-19 salgınının aşçıların çalışma hayatlarına olan etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmada yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Mülakatlar kar topu tekniği ile yapılmıştır. Kar topu tekniğinde öncelikle birinci kişiye ulaşılmakta, birinci kişi aracılığıyla ikinci ve üçüncü kişilere ulaşılarak kartopu şeklinde örneklemin büyümesi sağlanmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmalar sonucu 19 aşçıya ulaşılmış, 2 aşçının çalıştığı işyerinin kapalı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ulaşılan aşçılardan elde edilen veriler ışığında analizler yapılmıştır. Aşçıların hijyen konusunda sistemli bir eğitime sahip olmadığı, dezenfektan, eldiven ve maske temini konusunda kısmi sıkıntıların yaşandığı, bazı aşçıların işine son verildiği, çalışanların ise maaşlarında azalmaların olduğu, iş yerlerinin gelirlerinde %70 ile %90 arasından azalmanın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sıcaklıkların artması ile birlikte ülke genelinde hastalığın azalacağı, gerekli tedbirler alınmaması durumunda ikinci bir dalganın Ekim veya Kasım ayında oluşacağı düşünülmektedir.

The Effect of Covid-19 on Work Life Especially for Cooks: The Case of Kars

Öz

The employed cooks in Kars City Center constitute the universe of the study. The main purpose of the study is to determine the effect of Covid-19 disease on working life, especially for cooks. In the research, semi-structured interview technique was used as data collection technique. Interviews were made with the snow ball technique. In the snow ball technique, firstly, the first person is reached, the second and third people are reached through the first person, and the growth of the sample in the form of a snowball is ensured. As a result of the studies, it was determined that 19 cooks were closed and the workplace where 2 cooks worked was closed. Analyzes were made in the light of the data obtained from the chefs reached. Cooks do not have a systematic training in hygiene, there are partial difficulties in providing disinfectants, gloves and masks,some cooks have been dismissed, while employees have reduced wages and a 70% to 90% reduction in the income of the workplaces. With the increase of temperatures, the disease will decrease throughout the country. If the necessary measures are not taken, a second wave is thought to occur in October or November.
