Bu çalışmada Adıyaman'da
Yetişen Endemik Serratula olygocephala’nın
moleküler karakterizasyonu yapıldı. DNA izolasyonu Plant DNeasy (Qiagen Inc.)
kiti kullanılarak, kit protokolü takip edilerek yapıldı. Bunun yanında bitkinin
antioksidan aktivitesi ve yağ asidi kompozisyonu da belirlenmiştir. Antioksidan
etkinliği bakımından, bitkinin toplam fenolik madde konsantrasyonu folin
yöntemiyle belirlendi ve serbest radikal süpürme kapasitesini ise invitro olarak DPPH radikal süpürme
testi ile tayin edildi. Serratula
olygocephala’nın yağ asidi kompozisyonu ise gaz kromatografi yöntemiyle
tayin edildi. Doymuş, tekli doymamış ve çoklu doymamış yağ asitleri yüzdesi
belirlenmiştir.

In
this study, molecular characterization of endemic Serratula olygocephala grown in Adiyaman was determined. DNA
isolation was performed using the Plant DNeasy (Qiagen Inc.) kit, following the
kit protocol. In addition, the antioxidant activity and fatty acid composition
of the plant were also determined. In terms of the antioxidant activity, total
phenolic substance concentration of the plant was determined by applying the
folin method and free radical scavenging capacity was determined by DPPH
radical scavenging test. Fatty acid profile of Serratula oligocephala was determined by gas chromatography. The
percentage of the saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fatty acids
was calculated.
