YAZILIM PROJELERİNDE AGİLE VE SCRUM YAKLAŞIMLARININ KURAMSAL TEMELLERE DAYALI UYGULAMALI ANALİZİ

Öz

Dijital dönüşümün hayatın her alanına bu kadar yayıldığı bir dönemde, yazılım sistemlerinin iş yerlerinde yalnızca günlük işleri kolaylaştıran araçlar olarak görüldüğü dönem geride kaldı. Yazılım sistemleri artık, kurumların nasıl düşündüğünü, hangi kararları aldığını ve rekabette nasıl konumlandığını doğrudan etkileyen temel bir yapıya dönüştüler. Yazılım geliştirme süreçleri de eskisine göre çok daha belirsiz ve çok daha karmaşık haldedir. Bu nedenle, uzun zamandır kullanılan doğrusal proje yönetimi modellerinin sınırları her geçen gün daha belirgin hâle gelmektedir. Birçok ekip, daha kısa döngülerle ilerleyen, değişime anında uyum sağlayan ve kullanıcıyla sürekli temas hâlinde olmayı gerektiren Agile ve Scrum gibi yöntemlere yönelmiş durumdadır. Bu çalışmada ilk önce Agile’ın ilkelerine, Scrum’ın çalışma düzeni kurma sistemine ve bu yaklaşımların yazılım projelerini yönetmede önemi açıklanmıştır. Kuramsal kısmı desteklemek için Türkiye’de farklı sektörlerde çalışan kişilere bir anket uygulanmıştır. Anket sorularıyla birlikte, Agile ve Scrum’ın pratikte ne kadar kullanıldığı, insanlar tarafından hangi yönlerinin faydalı bulunduğu ele alınmaya çalışılmış ve ekiplerin hangi sorunlarla boğuştuğu ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Aynı zamanda, ankete katılanların çalıştıkları işletmelerde Scrum kullanılıyorsa uygulamaları ile ilgili fikirleri değerlendirilmiştir. İşletmelerin çevik dönüşümdeki başarısı literatürde önemli görülen çeşitli faktörlerle birlikte irdelenmiştir. Anket sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde Agile kullanan ekiplerin değişikliklere çok daha rahat uyum sağladığı, işleri daha net, daha şeffaf ilerlettiği ve ekip içindeki uyumun gözle görülür şekilde arttığı gözlenmiştir. Ankete katılanların önemli bir kısmı, projelerde eskisine göre çok daha az aksama yaşadığını, hatta ürünlerin çoğu zaman beklenenden daha erken kullanıcıya ulaştığını ifade etmişlerdir. Bu araştırmanın sonuçları, söz konusu bağlamda şirketlerin Agile’a yönelmesinin kritik bir gereksinim haline geldiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

AN APPLIED ANALYSIS OF AGILE AND SCRUM APPROACHES IN SOFTWARE PROJECTS BASED ON THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS

Öz

At a time when digital transformation has spread into almost every area of life, software systems are no longer considered merely as tools that make daily tasks easier in the workplace. Today, they have become a fundamental part of organizations, directly influencing how they think, make decisions, and position themselves in competition. Software development processes have also become much more uncertain and complex than before. For this reason, the limitations of linear project management models that have been used for many years are becoming increasingly apparent. Many teams have therefore turned to methods such as Agile and Scrum, which involve shorter cycles, rapid adaptation to change, and continuous interaction with users. This study first explains the principles of Agile, the working structure provided by Scrum, and the importance of these approaches in managing software projects. To support the theoretical part, a survey was conducted among people working in different sectors in Türkiye. Through the survey questions, the study aimed to examine how widely Agile and Scrum are used in practice, which aspects are considered useful by employees, and what kinds of problems teams encounter. In addition, participants working in organizations that use Scrum were asked about their opinions regarding its implementation. The success of organizations in agile transformation was also examined together with several factors considered important in the literature. The survey results showed that teams using Agile adapted to changes more easily, carried out their work in a clearer and more transparent way, and experienced a noticeable improvement in team coordination. A considerable number of participants stated that they faced fewer disruptions in projects than before and that products often reached users earlier than expected. The results of this study reveal that, in this context, companies’ shift toward Agile has become a critical necessity.
