In Turkey, the Social Insurance Institution, the Social Insurance Institution for Self-Employed and the Turkish Pension Fund have established different standards with regard to reemployment of the retired. However, in general, there are two options available for the retired in the current legal system. The first option is that the retired person should demand from the Institution to stop the pension to him/her and restart paying the premiums for related insurance branch. In the second option, the retired person pays only “social security support contribution” while he/she continues to drawing pension from the Institution. This study deals with the problems arised from reemployment of the retired and their social security support contribution payments, and it suggests solutions within the context of the Social Insurance Institution, the Social Insurance Institution for Self-Employed, the Turkish Pension Fund and Act No. 5510 Social Security and General Health Insurance.
