PROPHETHOOD AND PHILOSOPHY IN FARABI'S SYSTEM

Abstract

This article discusses the view of the Turkish-Islamic philosopher Abü Naşr Mul)ammed ai-Farabl (870-950) to prophethood and his explanation to the effectintended, whether it be easier to prophethood, give this a low position as a philosopher or the spread and tries appreciation of logical defınition. Does ar-ra"is al-auwal the philosopher or the prophets gone?

Öz

Bu makale, Türk-İslam fılozofu Ebu Nasr Muhammed ai-Farabi'nin (870- 950) peygamberliğe yaklaşımını ve nübüvvet anlayışını değerlendirmek suretiyle, onun nübüvvet anlayışının, peygamberliği tahfıf mi, filozoftan daha aşağı bir statü vermek mi, yoksa onun akli izahını yapmak ve yüceltmek mi, olduğunu ele almayı hedeflemektedir. Er-reis el-evvel fılozofa mı peygambere mi işaret etmektedir?
