The Teaching of the Qur’an

Abstract

This study was carried out to find an answer to the question: “How can we teach the Qur’an accurately to the pupil studying at primary school in Jordan employing modern technology and scientific methods?” The potential audience of the research are those who are in the position of teaching the Qur’an. Thus, the researcher introduces them pedagogical arguments in the light of the data gathered through experimental and observational research. The study includes following main chapters: Introduction, the importance of the Qur’an and its place in the curricula of education, the aims of teaching the Qur’an, the main principles in teaching the Qur’an, the methods and tools used in teaching the Qur’an, result, measurement and evaluation, bibliographical references. Chapter five has four subdivisions providing examples of practical applications. These are: The methods of teaching the rules of correct recitation (tacvid), the techniques of teaching the Qur’an recitation, the methods of teaching Qur’an Commentary and the techniques of learning the Qur’an by heart. The research has been translated into Turkish considering that it would provide to colleagues who undertook the responsibility of teaching Qur’an a good idea of what is going on in this field in countries other than Turkey and would introduce them guidelines when teaching the Qur’an

KUR’ÂN-I KERÎM ÖĞRETİMİ

Öz

Bu makale, “Ürdün’de İlköğretim seviyesindeki öğrencilere -modern teknikler ve bilimsel yöntemler kullanarak- Kur’an’ı olabildiğince doğru-düzgün nasıl öğretiriz?” sorusuna cevap bulmak amacıyla kaleme alınmıştır. Yazarın bu çalışmasında asıl hedef kitle, Kur’an öğreticisi konumundaki insanlardır. Dolayısıyla yazar burada onlara, deney-gözlem ve araştırmaya dayalı veriler ışığında sağlıklı Kur’an öğretimine yönelik pedagojik argümanlar sunmaktadır. Sözkonusu makale şu ana bölümlerden oluşmaktadır: Giriş, Kur'ân-ı Kerîm’in önemi ve eğitim programlarındaki yeri, Kur'ân-ı Kerîm öğretiminin amaçları, Kur'ân-ı Kerîm öğretiminde ana ilkeler, Kur'ân-ı Kerîm öğretiminin yöntem ve araçları, sonuç, ölçme ve değerlendirme, kaynakça. Ayrıca beşinci başlık altında pratik uygulama örnekleri eşliğinde dört ara kısım yer almaktadır ki, bunlar sırasıyla; Tecvid kuralları(nın) öğretim yöntemleri, Kur’ân-ı Kerîm okumayı öğretme teknikleri, Kur’ân-ı Kerîm tefsiri(nin) öğretim metodları ve Kur’ân-ı Kerîm(’i) ezberleme usûlleridir. Bu yazı, ülkemizde aynı görevi üstlenmiş bulunan meslekdaşlara; bu alanda bizim dışımızda ne(ler) olup-bittiğini ortaya koyma açısından iyi bir fikir vereceği ve bu işi yapma sırasında da onlara yol göstereci bir rol üstleneceği düşüncesiyle tercüme edilmiştir
