This study was primarily conducted to determine the level of Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy among associate degree students enrolled in health programs. Designed as a descriptive study, data were collected online between November and December 2024 from 1,446 first- and second-year students in health-related departments at two public universities in Turkey The “Personal Information Form” and ‘Artificial Intelligence Literacy Scale’ were used as collection tools for the data sets analyzed in the study. It was observed that the students' average scores on the "Artificial Intelligence Literacy Scale (AILS)" were above the expected mean score. Students aged 20 and under, as well as those aged 21-30, scored higher total points compared to those aged 31 and above. Additionally, students in the emergency and first aid program scored higher than those in the elderly care program. Those who use the internet for a variety of purposes scored higher total points compared to those who primarily visit Ministry of Health/hospital websites. In terms of technological device usage skills, students who rated their skills as “very good” or “good” scored higher than those with lower self-assessed skill levels. Based on the findings, it is suggested that incorporating AI-related topics into the curriculum by educators could contribute to improving AI literacy levels among students.
