Whether Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had a miracle except the Qurʾān or not is one of the mostly discussed subjects. Especially it was discussed a lot in the last century and is still being discussed. The splitting of the moon, which has been recognised by the majority of Islamic scholars as a miracle, has also been discussed in length. This subject has been analysed according to interpretation, hadith, kalam and Islamic history. Especially the first verses of the Al Qamar surah have been thoroughly expanded upon. However in this study, the first verses of the Al Qamar surah and rumors associated with them will be analysed according to the wording of the Holy Qurʾān, what and how does the Holy Qurʾān explain in the said verses and what is the underlying message. İt’s seen that a style tends to form tawhid and an active belief of afterlife has been used in Qurʾān. With this style, an event which will come true on apocalypse day was acted out before people’s very eyes and it has been emphasized effectively that the coming of apocalypse is so close and definite. So it has been aimed to awaken people to the unawareness and to be ready for apocalypse at any moment.
