Sağlık ve Sosyal Çalışanların Sahip Olması Gereken Yeterlilikler Konusunda Yaşlı Bireylerin Görüşleri: Kalitatif Çalışma

Öz

Giriş: Değişen nüfus yapısı ile birlikte hizmet sunulan yaşlı birey sayısı da artmaktadır. Yaşlı bireylere sunulacak sağlık ve sosyal hizmetlerin belirlenmesinde, yaşlı popülasyonun gereksinimlerinin ve beklentilerinin göz önünde bulundurulması gerekmektedir. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, yaşlılarla çalışan sağlık ve sosyal bakım profesyonellerinin gerekli ve istenen yeterlilikleri hakkında yaşlıların görüşlerini, tecrübelerini ve beklentilerini belirlemektir.Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı niteliksel bir araştırma olarak yapılmıştır. Veriler, maksimum varyasyon çeşitliliği göz önünde bulundurularak 16 yaşlı bireyden, yarı yapılandırılmış veri formu ile bireysel derinlemesine görüşme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Tüm görüşmeler ses kayıt cihazıyla kayıt altına alınmış, dökümü yapılmış ve kalitatif içerik analizi ilkelerine göre değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Yapılan analiz sonucunda dört tema belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen temalar: iyi iletişim kurma, profesyonel davranma, iyi bakım verme ve alana spesifik eğitim almiş olmadır.Sonuç: Sağlık ve sosyal çalışmacıların eğitimlerinin içeriklerinin belirlenmesinde yaşlıların beklentilerinin göz önünde bulundurulması eğitimin kalitesini ve dolayısıyla yaşlı bireylerin yaşam kalitelerini arttıracaktır.

Psychometric Properties of The Turkish Version Of The Difficult Intravenous Access Score for Children

Öz

Background: The changing population structure increases the number of elderly individuals served. The needs and expectations of this population need to be considered in determining the health and social services to be provided to elderly people. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore elderly people’s views, experiences and expectations about the required and desired competences of social and health care professionals working with elderly people. Methods: Descriptive qualitative study design was used. The data were collected from 16 elderly individuals using a semi-structured data form with in-dept interviews. The maximum variation was considered. All interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed and analysed in accordance with the principles of ‘qualitative content analysis’. Results: Four themes were identified: good communication, professional behavior, good care and having specific training in the field. Cocnlusion: Consideration of the expectations of the elderly in determining the content of the training of health and social care professionals will increase the quality of education and therefore the quality of life of elderly individuals.
