Hemşirelerin Ventrogluteal Alana Enjeksiyon Uygulamaya İlişkin Bilgi, Görüş ve Uygulamaları

Öz

Giriş: Son yıllarda yapılan kanıta dayalı çalışmaların sonuçlarına göre; ventrogluteal enjeksiyon alanı en güvenli enjeksiyon alanı olarak kabul edilmektedir. Amaç Bu çalışma hemşirelerin ventrogluteal bölgeye intramusküler enjeksiyon uygulamasına ilişkin bilgi, görüş ve uygulamalarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem Bir uygulama ve araştırma hastanesinde tanımlayıcı bir araştırma olarak yapıldı. Araştırmaya 85 hemşire dahil edildi. Verilerin toplanmasında, ventrogluteal alanla ilgili bilgi soruları ve hemşirelerin enjeksiyon uygulaması ile ilgili görüşlerinin yer aldığı veri toplama formu kullanıldı. Bulgular Hemşirelerin %48.2’si her zaman dorsogluteal alanı kullandıklarını, %38.8’i ventrogluteal alanı hiçbir zaman kullanmadıklarını bildirdi. Hemşirelerin %72.9’u bu alanla ilgili yeterli bilgisi olmadığını, %44.7’si bu alanı hiç kullanmadıkları için endişeleri olduğunu belirtmiştir, %52.9’u bu alanın nasıl tespit edildiğini bildiklerini, %62.4’ü alanı doğru saptayabildiklerini ve %70.6’sı hastaya enjeksiyon için pozisyon vermenin zor olmadığını belirtmişlerdir. Hemşirelerin, uygulanan yaş grubu (%95.3), enjeksiyon alanını doğru saptama (%87.1) ve ventroguluteal enjeksiyon yapılan kaslar (%72.5) konusunda yanlış bilgiye sahip oldukları belirlendi. Sonuç Çalışma sonucunda hemşirelerin genel olarak ventrogluteal bölgeden enjeksiyon uygulamaya yönelik görüşlerinin olumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fakat ventrogluteal bölgeden enjeksiyon uygulamaya ilişkin bilgilerinin yetersiz olmasına rağmen, bu durumun farkında olmadıkları saptanmıştır.

Nurses’ Knowledge, Opinion and Practices Regarding to İnjection Practices in Ventrogluteal Site

Introduction: According to the results of the searches based on evidence in recent years, ventrogluteal injection is acknowledged as the most reliable area of injection. Objectives The aim of this study is to determine nurses’knowledge, related with intramuscular injection performances to the ventrogluteal area. Methods It was made as a descriptive research in a training and research hospital. Eighty-five nurses were included to the research. While collecting data, a data collection form in which information questions about ventrogluteal area and the views related with the injection performance of nurse, was used. Results As the result of the study, 48.2 % of nurses were reported that use dorsogluteal site every time and 38.8 %of them use ventrogluteal site in no time. Nurses (72.9%) said that they don’t have enough knowledge related with this area, 52.9 % know that how to identify this area, 62.4 % identify it correctly and 70.6 % is not difficult to give the position to the patient for injection. It was determined that nurses have incorrect information about applied age group (95.3%), determining injection surface (87.1%) and ventrogluteal injection muscles (72.5%). Conclusion It was detected that nurses have positive opinions about performance of injection from ventrogluteal area. Although it was stated that they don’t have enough information on the performance from ventrogluteal area, they are not aware of this situation
