Primary Brain Tumors: Clinical Features, Treatment and Care

Yıl 2013, Cilt: 6 Sayı: 2, 102 - 113, 01.05.2013

Öz

The great majorities of primary brain tumors show a malignant and invasive spread, grow rapidly within the skull that has a restricted area
and threaten the life of the patient. Being unable to receive an effective response to the treatment, rapid progress of the process of disease and
serious losses of neurological functions cause the individual/family to experience desperation and decrease the quality of life rapidly in
primary brain tumors. The aim of this article is to present the basic and up to date information about the epidemiology, risk factors,
classification, clinical features, symptoms, treatment and care of the primary brain tumors. This article is intended to create the basic
information to understanding the situation, diagnonsting the symptoms, planning and implementation the care of patient and family in the
best possible way, to provide the necessary and sufficient to inform patient with primary brain tumors of the vulnerable risk group by nurses
