A SEARCH FOR THE EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISION-BY VARIOUS CRITERIA-OF VAULT SHAPED DOUBLE LAYERED SPACE TRUSSES

Öz

Space trusses are more economical and lighter structures than the ones that are built according to the conventional systems that cover the same large areas. Besides, space trusses can easily cover the spaces with large spans that can not be covered by conventional systems. Thus, in architecture, space trusses are in a special position among the effective structures that have best performance with least material. Mounting and dismounting of the pieces that form the system and the ease in repairing are the positive features of the system. In the study, vault shaped single curvature double layered space trusses are compared by their effectiveness and weight. The arc that gives their curvature to the vault shaped systems is taken as circle piece, parabola and half ellipse forms. The effectiveness of these forms is investigated by various geometric factors. These geometric factors are the span covered, geometric height of the structural system and the lengths of the truss members. The most appropriate form and solution are searched and results are obtained with respect to those geometric factors. The results are presented and compared by the help of tables and graphics.

TONOZ BİÇİMLİ ÇİFT KATLI UZAY KAFES SİSTEMLERİN -ÇEŞİTLİ KRİTERLER AÇISINDAN-ETKİNLİĞİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASINA YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz

Uzay kafes sistemler, konvansiyonel sistemle yapılan ve aynı alanı örten büyük açıklıklı uygulamalara göre çok daha hafif olmakta ve ekonomik sonuçlar üretmektedir. Öte yandan, konvansiyonel sistemlerle geçilemeyen açıklıkları uzay kafes sistemler rahatlıkla geçebilmektedir. Böylece, uzay kafes sistemler en az malzeme ve en fazla verimin alındığı etkin strüktürler arasında mimaride önemli bir yer tutarlar. Sistemi oluşturan parçaların defalarca sökülüp takılabilmesi ve onarımının da kolay olması olumlu özelliklerindendir. Çalışmada, tonoz biçimli tek eğrilikli geometriye sahip çift katlı uzay kafes sistemler etkinlikleri ve ağırlıkları açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. Tonoz biçimindeki sistemlere eğriliğini veren yay; çember, parabol ve yarım elips geometrisinde alınmış ve bu formlar etkinliklerini belirleyen geometrik faktörler açısından incelenmişlerdir. Bu geometrik faktörler geçilen açıklık, sistemin geometrik yüksekliği ve sistemdeki çubuk elemanların boylarıdır. Bu geometrik koşullara bağlı olarak en uygun form ve çözüm araştırılarak sonuçlar çıkarılmıştır. Çıkan sonuçlar grafik ve Çizelgeler yardımıyla karşılaştırılarak sunulmuştur.
