Öz

Arama motoru optimizasyonu
(SEO) uygulamalarında daha fazla SEO yöntemi
uygulayan sitenin arama motoru sonuç sayfasında (SERP) daha
başarılı olduğu bilinir. Ancak bu başarının nasıl elde
edildiği ve hangi yöntemlerin daha
etkili olduğu net değildir. Bu çalışmada, SEO yöntemlerinin SERP sıralamaları
için ne kadar etkili olduğu incelendi. Google
arama motoru deney ortamı olarak seçildi. Önce güncel SEO yöntemleri derlendi. Sonra konusu araç kiralama olan beş web sitesi kuruldu.
Konuyla ilgili 52 önemli arama sorgusu belirlendi. Deney sitelerinden bir
tanesine bütün SEO yöntemleri, diğerlerine ise seçilmiş SEO yöntemleri uygulandı.
Yapılan deneylerde özellikle iki önemli SEO kriteri, orijinal içerik yoğunluğu
ve sosyal medya paylaşımı, test edildi. Deney sitelerinin yüz gün boyunca, her
bir arama sorgusu için SERP sıralama değişimleri kaydedildi. Yüz günün sonunda,
en iyi SEO yöntemi uygulanan sitenin sayfaları, 32
farklı sorgu için Google’ın ilk on sayfasında yer aldı. Yine bu
sitenin üç sayfası, 3 arama sorgusu için Google’ın birinci
sonuç sayfasında yer aldı. Deneylerden elde edilen tüm
sonuçlar ayrıntılı olarak sunuldu ve bulgular
ışığında SEO yöntemlerinin
başarımları karşılaştırmalı olarak gösterildi.

Analysis of Search Engine Optimization Methods

Öz

In search engine optimization (SEO), the site that applies
more SEO methods is known to be more successful in search engine result page
(SERP). However, it isn’t clear how this success is achieved and what criteria
are more effective. In this study, we examined
how effective SEO methods are for SERP rankings. This SEO experiment was
conducted on Google. First, the current SEO methods were compiled. Then, 5 sites
were established, the subject of which is car rental. 52
important search queries were determined which are related to the topic. All SEO methods were applied to one
of the experiment sites and selected SEO methods were applied to the others. Specifically,
we tested two important SEO criteria, original content density and social media
sharing. For hundred
days, SERP changes of 5 sites were recorded. At
the end of the hundred days, pages of the site which best practices SEO
methods, appeared for 32 different queries on Google's top ten results pages. Three
of these pages appeared on the 1st page
for 3 search queries. All results from the experiments
were presented in detail and SEO methods achievements were shown comparatively.
