Orbital Malign Melanoma Causing Gastric Metastasis, A Case Report

Although malignant melanoma constitutes a small part of skin cancer cases, it is held responsible for the vast majority of skin cancer-related deaths. Malignant melanoma can involve any organ as a pattern of metastasis. Although the gastrointestinal systems are usually at the level of the small intestine, isolated gastric metastases can also be seen rarely. Patients can present with clinical presentations such as abdominal pain, vomiting, weakness, dysphagia, constipation, hematesis, melena, small intestine obstruction, perforation seen in other gastrointestinal system tumors. In this case report; We aimed to present a 57-year-old male patient with primary orbital malignant melanoma, who underwent palliation and metastasectomy after surgical treatment was decided upon detection of gastric metastasis and the lesion presented with massive bleeding.

Mide Metastazı Yapan Orbita Malign Melanom, Olgu Sunumu

Öz

Malign melanom cilt kanseri vakalarının az bir kısmını oluşturmakla beraber cilt kanserine bağlı ölümlerini büyük çoğunluğundan sorumlu tutulmaktadır. Malign melanom metastaz paterni olarak herhangi bir organı tutabilmektedir. Gastrointestinal sistemleri genellikle ince barsak seviyesinde olmakla beraber izole mide metastazları da nadir olarak görülebilmektedir. Hastalar, diğer gastrointestinal sistem tümörlerinde görülen karın ağrısı, kusma, halsizlik, disfaji, kabızlık, hematez, melena, ince bağırsak tıkanması, perforasyon gibi klinik prezantasyonlarla başvurabilirler. Bu olgu sunumumuzda; primer orbita malign melanomu nedenli takipli 57 yaşında erkek hastada mide metastazı tespit edilmesi ve lezyonun masif kanama tablosu ile başvurması üzerine cerrahi tedavi kararı verilip palyasyon ve metastazektomi uygulanan bir hastayı sunmayı amaçladık.
