İHRACATTA YURTİÇİ KATMA DEĞERİN BELİRLEYİCİLERİ: BRICS-T ÜLKELERİ ÖRNEĞİ

Öz

Üretimin sınırlarının değişmesi, uluslararası rekabetin sınırlarını değiştirmiştir. Bu kapsamda, ülkelerin küresel değer zincirine katılmaları önem arz etmektedir. Bu nedenle, ihracatta yurtiçi katma değerin belirleyicilerinin belirlenmesi önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, BRICS-T ülkelerinde ihracatta yurtiçi katma değerin belirleyicileri araştırılmıştır. Amaç doğrultusunda, 1995-2018 dönemine ait yıllık veriler kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda çalışmada panel veri analiz tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisi, Dumitrescu ve Hurlin (2012) tarafından geliştirilen nedensellik testi kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Bulgular, brüt ihracatın yurtdışı katma değerli içeriğinin, işgücü verimliliğinin, sermaye stokunun, beşeri sermaye stokunun, internet penetrasyonunun ve AR-GE harcamalarının ihracatta yurtiçi katma değerli içeriğin nedeni olduğunu göstermektedir.

DETERMINANTS OF DOMESTIC ADDED VALUE IN EXPORTS: THE CASE OF THE BRICS-T COUNTRIES

Öz

The change in the boundaries of production has changed the boundaries of international competition. In this context, it is important for countries to participate in the global value chain. Therefore, it is important to determine the determinants of domestic value added in exports. The aim of this study is to investigate the determinants of domestic added value in exports in BRICS-T countries. For the purpose, annual data for the period 1995-2018 were used. In this context, panel data analysis techniques were used in the study. The causality relationship between the variables was investigated using the causality test developed by Dumitrescu and Hurlin (2012). The findings show that the overseas value-added content of gross exports, labor productivity, capital stock, human capital stock, internet penetration and R&D expenditures are the causes of domestic value-added content in exports.
