ISLAMIC APPROACH TO THE THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF RELIGIOUS COUNSELLING AND CARE

Religious counselling and care has a long-standing history, but it is a newly-emerging academic discipline. There is the theological and psychological foundations of pastoral care and counseling emerged within the scope of pastoral psychology in Christian Western society. In this study, the theological foundations of religious counselling and care are discussed in terms of Islam. Principles and rules of Islam are built upon the Qur’an and Sunnah. Therefore, the Islamic approach to the theological foundations of religious counselling and care focuses on the Qur’an, Sunnah and the religious tradition formed around them

Öz

Dinî danışma ve rehberliğin tarihi çok eskilere dayanır ancak akademik bir disiplin olarak henüz yeni olgunlaşmaktadır. Hristiyan Batı toplumlarında, pastoral psikoloji kapsamında ortaya çıkan dinî danışma ve rehberliğin teolojik ve psikolojik temelleri bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada dinî danışma ve rehberliğin teolojik temelleri İslâm dini açısından ele alınmaktadır. İslâm dininde prensip ve kurallar Kur’ân ve sünnet üzerine inşa edilir. Bu nedenle dinî danışma ve rehberliğin teolojik temellerine İslâmî yaklaşım, Kur’ân, Sünnet ve onların etrafında şekillenen dinî geleneğe odaklanmaktadır
