The Concept of Gentleness in the Qur’an

The concept of gentleness is revealed in the Qur’an when addressing the relationship between God and His servants and that which people have with one another. It can be considered through morality and intellect. Gentleness, as a feature of God, means He is compassionate and gentle towards his servants. Interpretations of the Qur’an have especially noted that God does not rush to punish servants who are sinners. The Prophet of Islam, through hadith has also recommended people to be gentle in nature, and has praised those who are gentle

KUR’AN’DA HİLM KAVRAMI

Öz

Kur’an’da hilm kavramı, Allah’ın kulları ile olan ilişkisinde ve insanların birbirleriyle olan ilişkisinde ortaya çıkan bir kavramdır. Ahlak ve zihin açısından ele alınabilir. Allah’ın özelliği olarak hilm, kullarına karşı yumuşak davranışlı ve merhametli demektir. Ancak Kur’an yorumlarında özellikle Allah’ın günahkar kullarına karşı ceza vermek için acele etmemesi olarak ele alınmıştır. Hz. Peygamber de hadislerinde yumuşak huylu olmayı tavsiye etmiş, bu özelliğe sahip olanları övmüştür
