As social media transforms into a space where daily life is being constructed, the responses of social institutions are also carried to this space to different extents. In this respect, one may argue that the individual experiences new forms of socialization through social media. Social media spaces where the individual’s Daily life is carried transforms into spaces where religious practices are experienced. Religion is a mysterious phenomenon that is effective on the formation of societies and is based on divine commands. In this context, our study focuses on the ways in which religion is practiced in the fields of social media in post-modern times. Therefore, the public sphere shaped by the consumption and flexible approaches of the post-modern world has acquired a virtual dimension on social media and has turned into an area where different life practices are intertwined. Our study aims to examine the religious practices reconstructed in the fields of social media through the perception of religion in respect to modern and postmodern periods. In this context, in addition to obtaining data with the documentation technique, our study comparatively realizes the process of reconstructing religious practices in social media environment with a theoretical analysis in the data obtained in various fields (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
